Partners In Creating a Sustainable Sonoma County
Look What's Happening in the County
Under the leadership of UCCE County Director, Stephanie Larson, a “diversity summit" was held to brainstorm ideas to create a more diverse 4-H community. In attendance were the 4-H Diversity Committee, 4-H Council Representatives, leaders from the Latino community, Sonoma County supervisors, and other interested community members.
The program included presentations from Supervisor Efren Carrillo, Stephanie Larson, Judy Ludovise the 4-H Program Assistant, Kellie Noe with the Cradle to Career initiative, and 4-H youth. Wanda Tapia, Latino Service Providers, facilitated discussions and breakout groups that resulted in a set of recommended actions to guide future efforts to increase diversity in the 4-H program.
