Showing how to compost Compost Project
A partnership project with the Sonoma County Waste Management Agency which seeks to educate the home gardener. At the workshops throughout the county, Master Gardeners show gardeners how to compost and then use the resulting material in their gardens. In addition, Master Gardeners volunteers give presentations in local schools to teach children about worm composting. For more information, contact our office.

Composting with Worms Schools Project
Our schools presentations encourage programs that promote gardening experiences for all children. Master Gardeners help develop school gardens and bring worm composting demonstrations to school sites upon request.

Farmer's Market & Fairs
We maintain information tables at local Farmer's Markets and Fairs throughout the county. At these tables, Master Gardeners are able to provide unique assistance to the home gardener.

Training Class
Every year, we train a new class of gardening interns. The courses cover a wide variety of gardening topics and most classes are taught by UC instructors. Application information may be found on the Application Page

Information Desk
Master Gardeners staff this desk, which is located in the UC Cooperative Extension Office. The office is open during week days and you may come in with gardening questions or to pick up one of our many free publications. Contact Master Gardeners
