Dr. Paul Olin, PhD. - Marine Science Advisor - (707) 565-2621
Serving both Sonoma and Marin Counties, the
Marine Science program promotes the wise use of coastal and
marine resources. Technical assistance is provided to the commercial
fishing and aquaculture industries, seafood processors, and
retailers through the National Sea Grant Program.
UCCE/Sea Grant regularly conducts public workshops
for both large and small agricultural landowners which address
water quality, fish habitat needs, and land use. The program
also focuses its efforts on aquaculture, fisheries, fish habitat,
and the problem of non-indigenous species.
California Sea Grant is the largest of 29 state
programs in a national network dedicated to the understanding,
conservation, and wise use of coastal and marine resources.
The statewide program, which is administered
by the University of California, draws on the talents of scientists
and engineers at public and private universities, and works
in partnership with industry, government, and the public.
The National Sea Grant College Program is part
of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA),
U.S. Department of Commerce. Visit The National Sea Grant College
